Pictures from my amazing bridal shower that occurred today at Dolores but you can call me Lolita.

This week I made the much anticipated trip back to Casa Martinez. The land of skyscrapers, concrete, and poppie bags. However, I couldn’t be happier!
Mike and Vanessa had some grand ol’ plans for me this week, which began as soon as they picked me up.
First we went boating. They know I hate the water, but LOVE boating. I love the wind in my ears and birds trying to catch up to our boat. (Those suckers.)
Later in the week Vanessa took me on another adventure and I spent the entire day with her at her office. Lots of people “oh’ed and ah’ed” at me and even came in to the office to pet me. I was a hit! During work, Vanessa took me out for a few short walks so I could stretch my legs and tinkle. Even after the work day was done she took me on a little walk and as she chatted with a friend I got to lick up some left over ice cream (Shhh!!!).
Anyway, this is one happy pup; glad to be back home where I belong!
Mike and I want to extend our wedding day as long as possible. In that spirit we’ve planned an after-party just one block away from the National Hotel.
Today I finalized plans with Louie from Studio @ The Shelborne Hotel. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Studio it’s a SUPER fun karaoke bar with over 55,000 songs on file and all sorts of instruments on the walls.
Get those vocal cords ready for some singing!!! (Of course if you don’t sing you can be a back up dancer, play one of the musical instruments, or just sing and laugh from the crowd).

No driving or changing necessary. We’re all literally going as we are – either walking or a short taxi ride as soon as the reception is over. Email me if you have questions or want more details.
Mike and I are so lucky! We have such generous family and friends.
Last week wedding gifts began to arrive at our home. Every day as I got home from work I had a package or two to pick up at the front desk. It was so exciting to bring up those Macy’s boxes and open them up. It’s really such an exciting time!
One of the gifts we received last week was a baking set I requested from the Martha Stewart Collection at Macy’s. On Saturday while I was fulfilling my domestic duties around the apartment I decided to bake some cookies for my family and a special batch for Mike.
I baked some Toll House chocolate chip cookies and mini brownie bites. Although they turned out a little crunchy I recieved some rave reviews.
Thanks to Cindy Burke for this great gift!
We finally got a sneak peak of our engagement photo session from our photographers…and the verdict is that WE LOVE THEM! Of course, there are some we’re not crazy about but we do like the majority. I can’t wait to see the whole lot of photos they took and figure out how to incorporate them into our wedding.
So our calligraphied envelopes arrived today along with something we had reprinted for the invitations. Of course, as soon as I opened the box I couldn’t help myself and began stuffing envelopes. So, two hours later all of our guests had thier invites packed and ready to go.
Mike and I are checking addresses tomorrow just to make sure they all arrive at thier destinations and so we should be sending them out by end of week.
Putting invites in the mail definitely makes everything seem more real…
