As you know, we moved out of our trendy living space in Brickell to a suburby townhouse in Miami Lakes. We LOVE the extra space (the townhouse is double the size of our old Brickell apartment) and we truly make good use of every space. One of our favorite spots, especially now during the very pleasant Miami winter/spring time, is our patio. Doyle makes good use of it all year-round, but it’s a space that Mike and I are starting to use more and more as the weather gets cooler.
Our backyard is pretty drab as far as color goes – our fence is a moss green and instead of bright green grass we have brown pebbles that doubles as Doyle’s private litter box (there is major upkeep involved to ensure that doesn’t happen too regularly). So…because I love the space so much I’m always looking for ways to add color and more comfort to the patio.
While perusing the CasaSugar site as I regularly do, I found this great idea in their Weekend DIY section. Since our fence is pretty boring this Fence Garden helps brighten it up. It’s a fun project that is pretty simple to do over a weekend.
Here are some pics of the process and a picture of the final outcome. I’ve received many compliments so far. What do you think????

BTW – This project just further solidified my obsession with Spray Paint!!!!! I have a few upcoming holiday projects that use Spray Paint. I’ll keep you all posted.
